"The core of your personality is your self-esteem- how much you like yourself. The more you like and respect yourself, the better you do at everything you attempt.”-Henry Ford
The ultimate goal for each individual is to achieve one’s personal best. Regardless of background, education, financial standing or other factors, every individual is subconsciously induced to move onward and upward, toward self-actualization to become the best they can be in relation to beliefs and values.

What is Self-Esteem?

High self-esteem is essential for one's success. It is difficult for a person to show confidence when they view themselves as the low person on their own totem pole. Maybe you are extremely critical of yourself. Maybe you focus on and accentuate the negative with comments like, “I can’t do this”, or you simply undermine your successes with statements like “this was a one time fluke” or ”other people can do better”.

This kind of low self-esteem, or self depreciation can emanate from events which might be considered personal setbacks in business, relationships, health, etc. It does not suddenly appear out of nowhere such as symptoms of an illness. It is a culmination of conditioning from an individual’s past.

Unfortunately, for the most part, low self-esteem is most often programmed unintentionally by those whom we trust, such as judgmental parents or role models. Consequently many times derogatory comments, ridicule, relentless criticism and similar factors ignore commendable achievement and simply focus on and accentuate the negative. Frequently depreciation labels, or negative valuations are absorbed by and buried in the subconscious memory during one’s formative years, leaving an individual totally unaware of the sources of troubled feelings, fears, self-doubt and damaging attitudes, as well as a lack of self acceptance.

Napoleon Hill in his book “Law of Success“, demonstrates six basic fears which deplete self confidence:

1. Fear of poverty
2. Old Age
3. Criticism
4. The loss of the Love of Someone
5. Illness
6. Death

Hypnosis and Self Esteem

Internal power does not come easily, nothing worthwhile ever does. Hypnotherapy is a means by which a person can achieve a new self view, and become aware of the positive elements in life. To reprogramming for success, you must:
1. Rid yourself of past negative programming
2. Turn the weak points into your strengths
3. Increase your confidence and self-acceptance
4. Focus on the positive
5. Pinpoint your goals
6. Implement said goals
7. Experience a sense of completion

Motivation

With self-esteem and confidence enhanced, improved motivation comes into the spotlight.

According to Psychologist Abraham Maslow, there are five levels at which people are motivated:

Psychological - food, drink, sleep, sex
Safety - protection, freedom from fear, order
Belonging ness - love, social contact, family, friends
Esteem - self-respect, need to be valued
Self-Actualization - the need to grow to achieve one's potential

Rewards of well implemented goals

* A sense of pride.
* A sense of self satisfaction.
* Greater expectancy on an intellectual, emotional or social level.
* The excitement of experiencing a new you.
* The development of your skills or talents.

The use of hypnosis is the quickest way to eliminate negative beliefs and habit patterns. The subconscious is then free to accept positive self empowering beliefs and behavioral changes. Improving self-esteem, confidence and motivation are some of the most important and valuable accomplishment of hypnosis.
